Becky (beckyintexas) | 6 comments "All Quiet on the Western Front" was required reading in one of my classes in high school. I thought I remembered that the book was so good, it was the only book to that point that had made me cry. I recently listened to the audiobook. I was so looking forward to it. It had been almost 40 years since I read it and had such fond memories. After listening to it, I liked it, but it was nothing like I remembered. I think I must be mixed up on what book made me cry in high school, or perhaps my hormones between age 16 and 55 are completely different and out of whack. ha ha! I'm very perplexed now as to what I was remembering and need to do a bit more research and digging to see if it was a different book.

Mary L. Montgomery | 9 comments I loved Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead as an older teen but realize as an adult that I do not agree with her attitude toward humankind anymore!

Carolyn Scardino | 2 comments to Kill A Mockingbird..Maybe because of all the attention it has gotten over the years but i am now just not sure of its meaning. It seems to have gone too commercial and the real meaning of the story is lost.
