Standalone Challenge

So maybe starting a new series isn't for you? Sometimes you just want a story that ends once the book ends. If so, this is the challenge for you! So for books to count for this challenge, they cannot be part of a series! Usually Goodreads will tell you next to the title of the book if it is part of a series or not.

Level 1: 1-2 books
Level 2: 3-4 books
Level 3: 5-10 books
Level 4: 10-15+ books

So to participate all you have to do is declare the level you want to pledge. Make sure to update your progress along the way. The challenge starts once you make your pledge and ends on January 1st, 2017.

I'm going to pledge Level 3. I want to read at least 5 standalones this year. I've been reading a lot of series lately and I want to read some where I don't have to wait for the next book to be released. :)

I have a question. I am reading some books that are stand alone stories but in a series only because they are by the same author and each book is in different states. Would that be considered a series or could that be stand alone stories? None of the characters cross over.

Are they categorized on GR as a series? I'd say go ahead and count it!

They say American Boyfriend #1-8 so far. But they are all stand alone stories. Yay.
