Just started reading this. Really engrossed. Concerns an episode in the life of one of the war poets. Really evokes the period and the horrors of the first world war and the impact on those that fought in it. Anyone else read this?

I have heard great things about this book.

I started it, but I couldn't seem to get into it. Perhaps it's due to just having finished All Quiet on the Western Front, and being a bit fatigued with WWI.

I'll try it again in a couple of weeks to see if it reads better for me.
