CAnnot add book because ISBN is already in use

Hi,
I am trying to add an edition of Doctor Zhivago in Spanish, but the ISBN is already in use by another totally different book. Is it a mistake or can they be repeated? the ISBN in my book is 84-322-2136-8, from June 1984.

It looks like the ISBN was reused by mistake in a newer book (and Worldcat shows both editions with that ISBN!). Perhaps the mistake wasn't discovered because the old book would have been listed under ISBN 84-322-2136-8 and the new one under ISBN13 978-84-322-2136-1...
