Ursula, I have never had to make a purchase just to post a review. I just go to the review section on the product then go to Customers Reviews and in the top their is a place that says write a review. Tap on that and write your review. I do have an account with Amazon so I don’t know if that makes a difference.
I have the same problem since I’m from Canada trying to post on Amazon.com. So far I’ve found no ways that work. I’m going to have to put the $50 out soon.
Hey Ursula! Do you have a kindle? Buying kindle books counts or if you get a kindle unlimited account or audible account that works too.@Briar at Christmas time we buy one relative's gift on .com instead of .ca and it gets me review rights without spending a bunch of money of stuff I don't need/want. Got any birthday presents you need to buy soon?
Thank everybody. @Tina - It doesn't work for me, unfortunately :/ the 50$ is required, it seems.
@MissBecka - So you buy buy for less than $50 each Christmas and it lets you keep the reviewing rights? :-)
It's usually between $25-$50 and I have not had an issue posting reviews on Amazon.com ever. I think they just want to make sure they are getting some business from you when you use their site.Hopefully it works as well for you as it does for me :)
P.S.
Congratulations on your new blog!
I’m from Sweden. I have prime account on Amazon com tho, because I’m watching movies & they have a great selection. It’s true, Amazon do not allow reviews if you haven’t spend 50$ in 6 month. It’s the latest requirement. Idk, I think the best way is to order something (books in print?) for 50 bucks in 2 months time (as I did) or at once. You can wait till they change fees because right now - bcz of COVID- it’s very expensive. But they are working on it, should be fine in July-August...
prime account doesn’t change anything. I still need to spend 50$ every 6 month.
Thanks for all the info! :)I've purchased for $53 now, including some ebooks and a month of Audible. I'm not yet able to post reviews... Do you guys know if this should be instantly opened or will I have to wait?
From what I understood, it is once in 12 months, but they might have changed that again? :PI tried contacting Amazon asking why I still can't post reviews (first over the phone, because it's amusing to have them hanging up on you every time you call their support), and they just replied to my mail, some a standard reply, stating that I need to spend $50 to post reviews (which I just told them I did) and that I might have logged into the wrong account. I might just give up :')

I don't know why, but for me - yes... and I have Amazon Prime too. Also, some people from Canada (on the blog) told me they had similar issue - Amazon tells them that they can't post a review because of their new regulations... which is to spend 50 in 6 month.

I'm starting a book reviewing blog, and would like to be able to post my reviews on Amazon.com. There's a requirement that I spend $50 before being allowed - and as I'm living in Sweden, I would rather want to buy something where I don't need to pay for expensive oversea-taxes and shipping.
Will I be allowed to post reviews if I buy online content? Will any online content add to the $50 requirement? Any tips on how I can get past til $50 limit the cheapest way possible?
Thanks in advance
