[What Can You Bring to the Group?] I can ensure that proper FC's that reflect the region are used, that names match the region in which we are rping, keep topics spam free, and will be able to answer any questions regarding Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. I am also a master of the various HTML used on GR, and can assist with helping ensure the names, roleplay and everything else represents accurately the time in which this is taking place.

Keiran, his clothes torn and covered in his blood, slipped out of the house, his body trembling and aching from the wounds littering his body. His throat was on fire from his intense thirst that partly stemmed from the damage inflicted upon his body. Looking around nervously, he could only hope they were asleep or had left as he moved to a car parked on the street. He hated having to steal, but he had no choice if he had any hope of escaping with his life after what just happened. With shaking hands, he broke the drivers door lock with an expert tug on the door, glad that it was an older model that didn't have silent or loud alarms. He had just managed to hotwire the car when he heard the angry yelling that told him that they knew he was escaping. Without hesitating, he slammed the car into drive and pressed his foot down on the gas pedal, speeding off with some minor swerving, too terrified to think of anything other than escaping.

Keiran kept looking behind him as he drove away, not knowing where he was going, so long as it was far from where he was. It was through sheer force of will that he was still conscious, his body was shaking from cold and his injuries. His shaking fingers moved to turn the heat on in the car, hoping it would work and warm him up. If he could at least stay warm, he could hold out until he could get to another city far away, figure out a way to get some clean clothes and maybe a meal. He sighed in relief as the car's vents started to spew heat and, if it were not so necessary for him to escape, he might risk a few moments to huddle up against the vents and warm up. But, the danger was too great, and it left him with little choice but to drive on, only managing to hover his hands for a few brief moments over the vents.

He drove along an unfamiliar road, no radio on, the car filled with silence. One would think that he would have been paying attention to the road, but he was so immersed within himself that he was on 'auto-pilot' and didn't see a patch of black ice, which is hard to notice even when you are paying attention. The car skidded out of control as Keiran snapped back to the present, struggling to regain control of the car. It went over the railing as his head slammed forward into the wheel and he lost consciousness.

When Keiran woke, the car was tilted forward against a tree. Immediately, he struggled to free himself from the car, doing so causing him to fall into the snow as soon as he managed to get out the door. He groaned in pain, his whole body aching from the crash and even before then from the injuries already covering his body. Shivering, he turned to look at the car tilted at what would seem to be an impossible angle. At least its not badly damaged....though I can't really do anything to fix this.... he thought, starting to shiver from the cold. He was starting to regret not grabbing a coat or anything to keep warm as he started to walk around, not that the regret amounted to much when he had not owned a coat beforehand, and put his attention towards looking for the road.

After wandering around for who knows how long and losing the feeling in much of his body, he stumbled upon a cabin by chance. Oh, thank goddess....maybe someone there can help me. he thought, stumbling forward towards the cabin, still shivering fiercely and aching from the crash and previous injuries in several places. The closer he got to the cabin, however, the more he hesitated. It started to seem like a bad idea when he realized that in his current state, he wasn't nearly strong enough to take anyone on. Hell, he probably shouldn't even have been walking at the moment. Still, he needed the help, or at least the warmth, though he did approach the cabin warily. The last thing he needed was a pissed off hunter chasing him through the woods.

It was with some trepidation that he stepped up onto the log porch, too cold to really take in the well built cabin as he raised a shaking, bloodied hand to knock..... (hide spoiler)]

Aluxious hugged himself and curled up beneath the blanket wrapped around him and looking very small and vulnerable in that moment as he said softly, his eyes sad, "I-i can't.....I told myself I would never fight again....n-not after what happened. I-i can't do it again......I can't bring myself to hurt another and, if my death would in some way bring peace to another, then I would not be able to say no....I-i don't know if I want to die or not, but I know that I-I can't fight back, I-i can't hurt anyone anymore......p-please don't make me hurt anyone anymore......I don't think I could take it...." he whispered, his voice full of pain as he curled up tighter, as if to disappear within himself. He couldn't do it anymore, inflicting harm on others. Thinking to when he had done so in the past, the look on their faces as he- a pained look crossed his face as the memory caused him to hug himself too tight and make pain lance through his ribs from where he hurt them. He couldn't look up at Atticus, he didn't have the courage to, didn't have the heart to tell Atticus who it was whom he was facing and why he was so willing to die if it would atone for the horrors he had been forced to do and harm he had been forced to inflict. He couldn't do it anymore, it was killing him slowly. (hide spoiler)]

× (view spoiler)[Had it really only been ten years? Michal had a habit of counting the days to the anniversary, and he was quite amazed that it had passed for the tenth time. The first time he watched his parents shuffle up to the house, or where the house once stood, he'd been phasing in and out. It'd taken him some time to get used to the whole "being dead" thing, and he could barely keep his form. He wanted to go over and speak to them, say they could keep coming back and he'd always be there, like old times, but as he watched their faces, he realized that they needed their peace.

The peace he had yet to find

He realized that it would eat them up inside if they thought his soul couldn't find peace, so he let them be. Better let them think that he'd moved on to a better sort of afterlife rather than the one he'd found. The one filled with anger, hate, and that tunnel at the end. It wasn't filled with light, but darkness, and it was sucking him just a bit more everyday.

The first time he'd ventured into it, he'd had a hard time coming back. He couldn't seem to find that urge to go back, but he knew, he knew that where he was wasn't meant for his soul. So he shut the door, and bolted back into his existence of perpetual wandering. Which is what left him where he is now, strumming absently on a guitar in an empty house. It took them two years before they built over the stop his house had been once. He'd met a few wandering souls in that time, and when they'd heard the news, they booked it. He managed to stop one before they left and they explained that his soul would be stuck here once the new house was built. He had the chance to leave, but he didn't take it. Mostly because that door was still there, floating in the empty space neither seen or noticed by human eyes.

See, he had a game. He'd scare off everyone that tried to buy the house, so that they'd stay away from that door. He figured it would have the same effect on people, like in the movies. Only, he'd learned that so far, being a ghost was nothing like what the movies portrayed. Sure, he could walk through walls, make things move with determination and will, and disappear from sight. Touching people was something he had yet to be able to do, but he heard that was possible. Maybe.

So, back to the present, he's sitting on the kitchen counter behind the agent. He usually looked over his shoulder to see when people were coming in, so that he had time to put something new together. His eyes landed on the name on the page, and he glared down at the date. Today. There was already a big red mark next to it, meaning that whoever it was must have bought it already. Great. (hide spoiler)]

× (view spoiler)[The biggest event of her life had been coming in, and fast. Andromeda's sisters had always boasted being there for the sighting of ships, and she had yet to see one. Her scales must have been green with envy, because they continued goading her with the marvels of the iron whales that floated atop the water. She'd pursed her lips and let them have their fun chatting about what they might do afterwards. It wasn't like she didn't feel the excitement coursing through them, it was just that she never knew if what they'd been saying before could even be true. It wasn't unusual for them to trick her. Being the youngest of the bunch was a definite downside to it all.

So when she heard them swimming towards a massive shadow, she followed. It could be something that they were leading her to on purpose, another idle trick to keep themselves busy. It hadn't taken them long to realize that she was following them, but they appeared to ignore her. So, she just picked up speed until she was right in the midst of them, and that's when she'd seen it; the ship.

Freaking out about it didn't seem as impressive to her sisters, and they pulled her towards the surface to see what they were actually interested in: the crew. Men walking along the ship like it was nothing, hauling large nets and working contraptions that Andromeda had never seen before. The first thing she noticed was the obnoxious color wrapped around them. The bright yellow made her giggle, not quite what she was expecting when she thought of burly sea men. But, now she was seeing the real thing. This was what they were all so excited for.

It took her a moment to realize that they were keeping a certain distance from the ship, which was a little confusing. Wouldn't they be able to see better if they moved closer? Which was exactly what she did. She swam closer, until she felt she was hugging the large metallic invention. A sensation of accomplishment swelled into her, until she saw the looks of terror on her sisters' faces. Why were they so scared?

It didn't take her long to find out as she was pulled up into a net. The swell of scaled flesh killed whatever shriek was in her throat. When she could see the sun again, she was on the deck. Too shocked to speak, she gaped at the men around her, looking for an exit or something that might indicate that this was just a terrible dream gone wrong.
