Meaghan | 3 comments I used to check out this children's book from the local librbary when I was six, and I thought it was a newer boik then, so that would have been 1991. It is a beginning reader book. It has the cutest illustrations about these magical creatures that lived in a tree in someone's back yard. There was a whole family in each tree because I remember the elf or troll or fairy or whatever talking about her cousins. Leona was one of the main characters, and I thought there were several characters who had wen in their name, like wendall.

Meaghan, can you describe the illustrations - e.g., simple or detailed, realistic or cartoony, painted watercolors or bold graphics, bright or dark colors, black & white? Do they remind you of a similar illustrator or picture book author?

Meaghan | 3 comments The illustrations are detailed, but cartoons. They had bright colors and were bold. I wish I could describe it better!

Meaghan | 3 comments I think there was more than one book about the characters. In one of them, the book was about learning to get along and dealing with conflict.

Thanks. I added some plot details to the topic header, so your book might be recognized from the header alone. Feel free to update it by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website – not the Mobile website or app.
