Her understudy and other cast members, while genuinely concerned for the diva's health, were secretly delighted for the reprieve.

She had good reason to cancel her plans of horseback riding today. She would stop somewhere, choose a card, and go see her parents. She had big news to share. What better day than on her mother's birthday?

The pizza was lousy and she was so frustrated with how her spreadsheet was turning out that she actually picked up a hammer to smash her screen. But of course she didn't actually smash it. It was time to find a job where she'd never have to work on Sundays again.
