Z-squared | 8575 comments Hi SMK,

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers because users like to shelve the edition that matches the one they own. Instead, we create alternate cover editions (ACEs), and you as the author have the ability to set the new cover as the default edition. I have created an ACE for your book here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

To set it as default, you'll need to claim your author profile first, which brings me to my next issue. When books are re-released under new pen names, the original pen name must be kept as the primary author on all editions. This is for a variety of reasons, but mostly so that all editions of the book can stay combined together. However, since your new pen name contains your old pen name, I don't believe that rule applies here. So I've moved your old book over to S.M.K. Knight as well.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I want to make sure that any other librarian reading this understands why I did what I did and doesn't reverse my changes. So you can ignore this if you're confused :P

You can claim your author profile here:

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Just scroll down to the bottom and click on 'Is this you? Let us know.' Once you've claimed your author profile, you will be able to set the new cover as the default edition (although I think it already is) by following these instructions:
