1. Some reviewers found the organization of the book off-putting. Did you lose track of what was happening/who was involved because of the book's narrative style?

2. A big part of the story is the marriage between Bernadette and Elgin. Do you think their marriage is a strong one? Marriages are built on compromise but somehow this marriage is crumbling. Has Elgin compromised one too many times? or is Bernadette steamrolling him?

3. Bernadette has gone threw a lot in her past. Does this excuse her behavior or explain it?

4. Why is Audrey bound and determined to be Bernadette's nemesis? What about Audrey's personality makes her so diametrically apposed to Bernadette.
