Yasmina Diallo | 8 comments Hi Goodreads friends!

I need help to delete a book from the database and edit and/or remove all the quotes associated to it.

I had to remove my book from amazon and republish it under a new title and I have created the Goodreads pages for the new paperback and eBook editions today so I’d like to know how to delete or modify the quotes that I’ve already posted with the former title. The story is the same so the quotes are still valid, the only thing that I need to change is the title.

Former version (the one I want to delete from Goodreads)
New version (the one I want to associate the already existing quotes with)

If someone can help, thanks a lot!

Good evening 

I don't know if it is possible to change the quote attribution; someone else will have to answer that one.

Hi Scott,

Thank you very much for responding. So the former title will still be on Goodreads even though it technically doesn’t exist anymore (since the book is no longer available under this title on amazon)? The reason why I ask is because the problem is not that a new version of the story has been published, it’s really that the book doesn't exist under this title anymore.

Thanks a lot.

Scott | 9239 comments Many, many books throughout history are no longer available, but we still keep a record for them, as people have read them, or may yet read them at some future date.

After the cache updates, quotes should be linked to all editions of the work.

I understand, thank you very much for your help and for having combined them all :)

Hi Rivka, thank you for replying, I was going to enter new quotes (the same ones) using the new title, so I don't need to do that anymore?

Yasmina Diallo | 8 comments Rivka, sorry I hadn't seen the last part of your sentence after "quotes should be linked", okay understood, thank you very much :)
