Sean Brewer | 1 comments I'm looking for this specific novel written in the latter half of the 20th century by two (I think male) authors as a parody of the pulp romance novels of their day. I haven't read it, but I heard of it in the year 2020, on Wikipedia.

The plot was about an attractive (possibly one-legged) young woman who, despite her innocent/naive approach (or because of it) finds herself in precarious and silly sexual situations with men.

They wrote it more or less on a whim, just for fun, but the literary press thought it was a brilliant work, one of the authors said something to this effect:

'It was like vomiting in the street, and everyone crowding around it and calling it brilliant. But then you get another look of the thing, and you say "Jesus, they're right."'

I wish I had more info, but if anyone can help me find the thing, I'd be delighted.
