Noah turns over the box of Adam Scott’s “trophies” to Lucy and she recognizes a locket that belonged to Monique Paxton, the senator’s daughter and understands that he was the one who killed Roger Morton. Did she do the right thing in letting it go? Why do you think she made that decision?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments She knew, but had no proof. I knew the Senator was involved from the beginning to the book. It would have eaten her alive if she decided to go after him and she just didn't want to fight that fight.

You know, I think she felt there had been enough casualties of these evil men and she wasn’t going to add one more. I understood it and think Lucy did what she needed to do as much for herself as Senator Paxton.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I understood why she did that. Sometimes it's best to just walk away.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I feel like she did. It wasn't the right (law wise) thing to do, but I know she probably didn't want him to suffer anymore. He always felt guilty for his daughters death and he needed that for closure.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree. The Senator now knows that she knows; he should be on the straight and narrow path in the future. Here's hoping.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I understand Lucy's mindset and her decision. I don't agree with it but I understand. He is a politician and could work to get strong laws instead of taking the law in his hands. Politicians do get away with breaking the law though.
