Lucy has done a lot of work putting her assault behind her and Noah Armstrong wanted her to revisit what happened. Did you understand why she took the stand with him to not discuss it with him? Do you think this whole situation will set her back? If so, in what way?

Viki (vikir) | 5 comments I totally understand why she wouldn't want to talk to Noah about what happened to her. It has been 6 years since her kidnapping, I think if she started to talk about that time again, it would have set back on the progress she has made to move forward in her life.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments The details were none of his business. Lucy was right to shut that line of questioning down. I know he needed to make a judgment as to her innocence in his murder, but having her rehash the kidnapping and its' affect was not necessary. Will it set her back? Maybe, but Lucy is a strong woman and she came to terms with the plea deal and forgave Kate and she has Sean at her side now.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 109 comments I kind of felt she was straight with them that her memory was spotty. I thought this was common considering the horrific treatment she went through...common where exact details are blurred especially after 6 years. I imagine thinking of all the details over and over wouldn't be conducive to healing.

I’m with you, Anita. It was unnecessary and insensitive for that boor to even ask. He read the files, he talked to people who were involved in the case and her rescue. There was no low hanging fruit here. I was proud of Lucy standing up to him.

Yeah, I think this case will set her back a little and it already has. But, now that they’re all dead or in jail, those who perpetrated the crimes against Lucy can’t haunt her anymore. I think she’ll be fine.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I agree with you too, Anita & Jonetta. I was really glad when Lucy shut him down.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I can see why Noah wanted her to rehash the incident and I also understand why Lucy shut him down. Noah had already made up his mind that Kate and Lucy were involved and she may have said something to push him more. Lucy was very angry and I like how she made them turn off the recorder so she could speak her mind off the record.
Lucy still had a bit of paranoia from the attack and although this case may set her back, she has done a fabulous job recovering.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Anita, I agree that the "details" were none of his business. As an agent and investigator, he had to have other options besides picking an old scab raw.

Like how you described that, Charlene!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with the comments above. In my opinion, Noah tried to break Lucy by asking her to retell her story. It not only showed his bias against Lucy, he wanted to see if he could expose her as not fit for the FBI. It wasn't necessary. Way to be an A$$ Noah.

I love the way Lucy handled his question. She didn't allow Noah to intimidate her.

Lucy is still dealing with her abuse, but that will be with her until she dies. I believe that she will learn new ways to handle triggers in the future. She is strong and determined not to define her life by her attack.
