moved. The author naming convention for initials is not to have a space between initials. I removed the space.

Are all the books that are under G.S. Baker yours?

Your profile is Greg Baker, but if you publish under Greg S. Baker, they will have to have Greg Baker as a secondary author to show under your profile. Or you can contact support and have them change your profile to Greg S. Baker.

I will try to sort them for you.

Okay - lots of confusion on my part.

the original name on the first publication is G.S. Baker.
All editions of that book will have G.S. Baker as the primary author.
If Greg S. Baker is on the cover of subsequent editions, then that will be the secondary author.
I strongly recommend that you contact Goodreads support and ask them to change your profile to Greg S. Baker.

I will sort these out and be back.

I have sent two emails over a week ago regarding the initial, but have heard nothing from them. Not sure what to do.

The two links provided are the correct covers. The other covers are old and outdated. The name on the new covers is Greg S. Baker. The old cover had G.S. Baker, which has been changed.

So the books that need to show up in the profile are the ones with the links I provided.

There is a very large backlog of requests to Support at the moment, so it will take a long time to get an answer. We cannot access your profile to change your name, so it will just take a while.

Support is backlogged - they will get to you.

A book record uses the author's first published name on the work. So the books that are published under G.S Baker will have that as the primary name forever. I am making Greg S. Baker the secondary author, and Greg Baker as the 3rd name. When support staff changes your profile to Greg S. Baker, the Greg Baker will disappear, but the G.S. Baker will remain.

Using Goodreads naming standards, but will make it as painless for you as possible.

It's a little challenging from a technical standpoint, but I won't bore you with the details. I'll get them all nice and standard, and tidy.

Not if the author requests Greg S. Baker as their profile name. Greg S. Baker includes G.S. Baker.

I have added Greg S. Baker to all your fiction, and removed G.S. Baker from your works across the board.

I created series for your fiction works, and formatted the titles to meet GR naming convention.

I did not change your non-fiction work to Greg S., since your profile should soon change to Greg S., but I will if you want.

If any of the remaining works under G.S. Baker are yours, please let me know here and I will correct for you.
You should hear back from support in the next several days about your profile change.

My pleasure. Goodreads librarians are volunteers, so the staff can concentrate on site functionality. They will get to you. I put a author merge request about the same time [for another author] and got a survey request yesterday about it, so they are addressing things.

I think I've got all of them corrected. Good job I didn't edit your nonfiction. lol

Ordinarily if an author name is merged into an name that is already there, it drops one of them. I didn't think about it keeping both of them. Lesson learned.
