Matthew Broman (matthewbroman) | 4 comments I just wanted to know, how often do you read? and when do you find time to read with life's busy schedule? How much time do you spend reading each day/week/etc?
If allowed, I would prob do nothing BUT read but sadly life doesn't allow that.

message 2: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra I usually have multiple books on the go at the same time. Some are books I want to think over, which I take up when I have time to set aside and concentrate. Some are deliberately in a short, anecdotal for, so that I can read a couple of pages, then think about them whilst doing a boring chore. Some are 'disposable' - I don't expect to want to reread them, so I don't mind if my copy ends up looking battered - these I carry around with me and read when in transit.

A solid reading session may be once a week, perhaps less. But I usually read SOMETHING every day.

message 3: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Ambrose (ambrose2014) | 31 comments I like to read when I'm eating - breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. And often a few minutes in bed to unwind. My usual reading session is 10 - 15 minutes.

message 4: by Dawn (new)

Dawn Napier (rosered97) | 21 comments I usually read for a few minutes when I first wake up and right before bed. And I don't own any fancy devices so whenever I'm in a waiting room or stuck in a boring situation with nothing to do I always have a book handy.

message 5: by pearl. (new)

pearl. (pearl007) Mmm, the frequency of my reading depends on my mood. I'm actually getting back into reading after a two month dry spell. This usually happens when I've finished a good book or series and can't find anything new that can compare. When my reading mode is on, it's definitely ON. I read non-stop into the late hours of the night when I'm home and sneak reading into my breaks and lunches at work. I can average about a book every day or two (depending on the length) if my mood is right.

Since I'm on vacation I have been catching up with family and going all over town so I have many read a chapter or two max! Maybe on the plane ride home I can get reading time in, but not too much more until I am home. I just have a lot to do and see so books take the back seat! :)

message 7: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 6 comments I read every day for at least half an hour each night or more

message 8: by Sam (new)

Sam | 606 comments I make time to read whenever possible! I could do it more but stuff keeps getting in my way like work, sleeping and eating! :) I can on average get through 3 books a week and that would be reading every night. I don’t feel right when I can't read! :D I'm weird that way!

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments When I still took the train to work, I could go through a book a week. Now that I literally WALK to work, my reading time is cut considerably.

message 10: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine | 7 comments I read all day, everyday! Whenever I find time throughout the day I read. From magazines, to books, to articles online, to blogs. Basically anything that catches my fancy.

message 11: by Rin (new)

Rin (reenahelene) | 2 comments I read before lunch so that I can attend to and focus on my tasks at hand after.

Crystal Williams (cwilliams23827) | 1 comments I read every chance I get... Most of the time though it is at night before bed... :)

message 13: by Phoebe (new)

message 16: by Breann (new)

Breann (ladygeekface) When I'm in book mode, I read almost every second of my free time. I go through about 5 books a week if I'm really interested. Sometimes I'm into a tv show on Netflix or a game, so I don't read as much then.

I've bought a lot of books in the last month, so I've been reading as much as possible.

message 17: by Alice (new)

Alice | 5 comments In my free time, when my family is not around, I read as much as possible, as long as possible, as fast as possible...when my family is around I hide and read ;) however I don't have lots of free time...not enough to read :(

message 18: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannon_mckinney) | 4 comments I read everyday! I usually find time before bed when my husband is sawing logs. P.S buy a book light for the sake of your significant other! lol!

message 19: by Georgia (new)

Georgia (georgiabarber) | 2 comments Wow, I envy everyone who has so much spare time to read. A Levels massively get in the way of trying to do anything, so I don't have all that much time to read, although I do try to read a bit everyday.

So far in 2015 I have not read at all!! I was on vacation and now I have been busy getting back to work, so no time was left for reading.... Maybe this next week I will catch up a little, but who knows with all my extra stuff going on!

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I've finished one book so far. Man, I don't know how some people are already on Book 13 or something. One book a day? Bravo.

message 22: by Megan (new)

Megan (meegjane) | 3 comments I'm the type of person who can't read in short bursts. Once I pick up a book, I won't put it down for at least an hour and a half. Luckily since it's uni holidays currently I have heaps of time to do nothing but read. During the semester I read whenever I have the time, and can usually get in a few hours before bed. I read probably 4 or 5 days a week. Sometimes I just don't find time, or reading feels like a chore and I can't get into it.

I also have the Kindle app on my phone so I use that to read while waiting for appointments, when I'm out but don't want to carry a book around and in bed late at night when I've already turned the lights out and really should be asleep. I like to keep the books I read on there light and easy (at the moment it's fairytales!) so they're fairly non-committal and I can put them down and pick them up easily.

message 23: by LeNita (new)

LeNita V. | 3 comments It depends on what mood I'm in but I read a lot when I'm ON (as *pearl said). Especially when I'm reading a book or series that's really good

message 24: by Sherlock-Lover (new)

Sherlock-Lover (booklovergirl99) | 15 comments I read whenever I can. I split my free time between reading, going on Goodreads.com, and writing( I hope to be a writer. I am now writing the second book in my series, but I have not published the first. I'm still deciding if I should. Message me; should I or shouldn't I ?

Caitlin "Sparkie" (csparkiem) I read as often as possible, I don't even know what it would be like to watch TV, from the time I get off school till the time I go to bed most nights.

message 26: by Gladys (new)

Gladys Garcia I read as much as I can, at any time I have available, you will see me going to get lunch at work and my nook is always at my side.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I was hellbent to do the readathon yesterday, 12nn to 4pm straight. But I was distracted. :\ I did about half.

message 28: by La Tonya (new)

La Tonya Jordan | 326 comments I read mostly on the weekend. I read a lot at work for my job. If I can, I read in the evenings.

message 29: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Scott @La Tonya, what's your job? I want it!

message 30: by La Tonya (new)

La Tonya Jordan | 326 comments I am an Accountant with the Federal government. It is a lot of technical reading. Not reading for fun. It can drain you, easily.

Wendy (dydy03) | 5 comments Everyday!

message 32: by Jenny Jo (new)

Jenny Jo Weir EVERY SINGLE DAY! Although I binge/marathon read on most weekends, I also stay up till at least midnight every night reading. Can't go to sleep with out putting in a few hours. Totally addicted!

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I try to read every night before bed. About an hour or so. But I recently started a new anime to marathon. :\

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

I read at least a chapter every day. I love to read in a moving vehicle, in a bath, and just before bed. On my days off, I like to read over my morning coffee too. :)

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments Recently I've been reading when my brother's playing video games using my TV.

message 36: by Larissa (new)

Larissa (laracvanti) | 9 comments It's mostly a when it fits the schedule but I try to read during breakfast and before falling asleep. At weekends I usually take Saturday to catch-up with my reading.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I'm challenging myself to read more. I've devoted enough of my time to anime, movies, K-pop, etc in the recent weeks. Now, it's the books' turn.

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) | 1690 comments Mod
I have not been reading at all recently thanks to some writing projects. I am working on designing the cover and doing the final edit for my next book, and then all of a sudden my brain decided I needed to also start a new book.....Kind of bitter sweet! haha

message 39: by Aj (new)

Aj | 2 comments every day more or less

message 40: by Athena (new)

Athena (athenavictoria) I make it a point to read every day. I cannot have more than 1 or 2 books going at once. Generally I keep it to 1 fiction and 1 non fiction. I read, mostly, when I'm on the go. I travel a lot for work, so I definitely read on trains and planes. At home, I tend to read my non-fiction. I actually get anxious when I don't read. I need a little 5 minute break from reality. It takes me about a week to get through a book and a day to get through a graphic novel.

message 41: by Caty (new)

Caty (buecher_huhn) | 1 comments I read mostly during the holidays because it's obviously when I have more time, but now that I'm at university, I've had more time for some quick light novels during the week. I know it's a bad habit, but I often start reading late at night until I'm too tired to read. I've also started reading a few pages during/after breakfast. I need quiet and no distractions when I'm reading.
During the holidays I read almost every day. Otherwise, it really depends on how busy I am with uni stuff, and if there's an interesting book I really want to read.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I read every day. That is usually what I spend my free time doing. Sometimes I'll be so completely consumed in a book hours will go by and I'll hardly notice. I'm one of those "stay up till two in the morning reading" type of people. I'm still in school though and I do sports but during the weekend you'll barely ever see me out of my room.

message 43: by Mariah (new)

Mariah Lynn (mariahrossebo) I read whenever I can, especially on the weekends. But, during the week with school and homework, I can hardly get a break to do so.

Karen | 1 comments Every day.
An hour in the morning before going to work. Most lunchtimes ( especially now it's getting colder out). A few hours in a the evening.
I average 3-4 books a week, depending on how engrossing it is I get through more

message 46: by Jess (new)

Jess (JessLibrary) | 1 comments I usually read two books a week, which means a few hours a day.

message 47: by Biz (new)

Biz Difrances about three hrs a day, during weekends.
school days, when i can....

message 48: by Sheena (new)

Sheena I read pretty much any chance I get. Have to ride the bus? Reading opportunity. Have a long wait in line/on the phone? Reading opportunity. I read on my lunch breaks. Instead of watching TV, I'll read. I'll read while I'm eating dinner. When with family while during a football game (which I don't care about) I read. Any chance that presents itself, I end up reading lol.

message 49: by Kitt (new)

Kitt | 3 comments I'm trying to find the time for reading too but whenever I am reading I feel terribly guilty that there's something I else I should be doing.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments There were times when I would not read throughout the work week and then binge read on the weekends.
