Evan Cashin | 1 comments I can't remember much but here goes.

I remember reading a fantasy book series maybe eight books long that my fourth grade teacher had on the classroom book shelf. The series had anime/manga styled cover art and the first few pages of each book had a few character illustrations with short biographies. The most distinctive plot detail I can remember is one of the villians was a body horror styled cyborg henchman whose method of speech was illustrated in exposition +LIKE THIS+ or something similar where the text was all caps, bold, and it spoke in incomplete sentences. I believe in the first book it attempts to kidnap the main characters little sister or brother.

there may have been dragon riding in the story. it may not have been dragons but some sort of large flight capable beast that was common in the setting and part of the setting of the first book is like a large barn or something where the main character works with his family.

There may be an evil empire but there was definitely a morally ambiguous princess character from the big bad kingdom who is ignorant to the evil of her kingdom and who the evil cyborg serves or perhaps the princess is under the evil cyborgs ward and is more like its prisoner.

That's all I've got, please help me this has been bothering me for years.

Evan, that's a good start. Please add plot details to the topic header (title), so someone could recognize your book from that description. Click the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

Around what year did you read this book? A range of years is fine. We don't want to ask for your age.
