((Okie))Lyla has been sleeping peacefully. Out of nowhere, a nightmare comes. It was the night her mom died. Lyla woke up screaming and fell out of the bed. She was trembling, and there were tears streaming down her cheeks. She was scared, but also hurting a bit.
Jacob quickly went to her side and hugged her, " Calm down Lyla, it's okay now. " He said softly
She recognizes the familiarity of his arms stopping her and smiles slightly, comforted. The trembling slows down. One she’s recovered s not from the fall, Lyla presses a hand to her leg, grateful when she sees the stitches hasn’t ripped.
He doesn't let go after she stops trembling. Only after she completely calms down will he do that. He hated seeing her so scared, trembling.
“I’m sorry if I woke you up,” Lyla says. She takes some deep breaths, attempting to calm herself down. ((I gtg. Bye!))
“Okay.” Lyla’s heart was still racing and she wasn’t completely calm yet. Her hands were still shaking and her body was trembling just a tiny bit. The nightmare has freaked her out a lot.
He didn't let go of her till he was sure she was okay. He hated seeing her trembling. He hated seeing her scared. It hurt him to see her suffer like this.
Lyla doesn’t move to pull away. She was slowly calming down. The trembling had receded a bit and her heart rate was slowing down.
They sat like that in silence for a while.
Lyla fully calms down. “I’m okay now,” she tells him.
Lyla hesitates but nods. “Mhmm,” but she doesn’t let go of him.
Finally Lyla pulls away. She looks at herself and grimaces. “Do you mind if I shower? I look like a mess.”
Lyla gets up. “Do you want me to go to my dorm or …?”
" It's your choice. I don't mind either of them "
“Here won’t make me walk much…” Lyla says, thinking aloud.
" Then stay here to freshen up. I'll be in the playground, Aarna is probably there with the other kids of her age "
“Alright. I’ll be fast. Then I’ll meet you in the playground,” Lyla says with a smile. She kisses Jacob on the cheek.
He smiled then walked out, to the playground.(( I might have to go off. It is my bedtime ))
((Okay))Lyla gets up and walks into the bathroom. She showers and when she’s done she uses magic to summon a new outfit that isn’t bloodstained and a hair brush. After she’s changed and done, she walks off to the playground to look for Aarna and Jacob.
Jacob rushes in. He takes out his computer and opens up a digital map of the area. He looks at all possible locations where a person could hide.
He picks up the phone, " Hello ? " He asked
A little boy's voice- not Jamie's- speaks. "Where's my big sister?" he demands. Jamie can be heard yelling for Ben to give him his phone back.
He looked surprised, " What do you mean ? " He was sure that this wasn't Jamie
On the other end of the phone, Jamie catches Ben and grabs the phone. "I'm so sorry Jacob, our littlest sibling Ben stole my phone."
" Figured out that much by the shouting. But why was he shouting at me ? Ignore that. Anyways, I have a map of the city and all the nearby areas here. Now what ? Do you have any leads ? "
"He's just scared. And I pulled some strings to get someone to check our old property. He's not there," James tells him, "are there any places almost no one goes?"
" I won't say that no one goes there but there are a few warehouses and abandoned buildings. I could get my sister to help us if you want " he offered.
"Good idea. Check those places and call back if you find her. I'll help you get her out," James says, his voice determined.
" Okay, I hope I can manage to keep this info from Aarna. " He muttered
"Who's Aarna? And you can send her to my aunt's mansion if you want. We'd be more than happy to look after her," Jamie says.
" Aarna is Lyla's little sister. And I think I could send her there. Send me the location and I'll send her there. " He sent his sister a quick email and soon got a reply.
Jamie texted Jacob the mansion address. "I can come get her from the academy."
" Then I'll bring her to the entrance " he said.
((Abandoned warehouse.))"Okay. I can be there in about half an hour," James says, "is that enough time?"
" Yeah, see you then " he hung up. He closed the laptop and stood up to go and get Aarna.
He sets down his book on the desk and sits down on the bed.
“Why don’t you get some sleep,” Lyla says.
“I can leave if you want…” she says, glancing at the door.
[Edlyn]Having left the playground, she shifted into a wolf and fell asleep on Jacobs bed.
