I am looking for a series in which i believe the second or third book is about the daughter of the couple from previous book. Hero used to love the mother. I believe the setting was American historical.

I wanted to say that in book 1 , men A and B both like the heroine C.. in the end, A and C get married. in the second or third book, A and C's daughter falls in love with B.
I weirdly remember them as having 'moon' in book titles but can't seem to find them.

You're incorrect. Catherine doesn't censor any of the bad stuff (rape/abuse) in her books, ever, when they come back into print/e-books. I read your comment this morning and contacted Catherine via her website and got a response back. I'd asked specifically about the e-book versions and she said no, she doesn't censor them.

Edit- She confirmed that none of her e-books have been edited from the paperback versions.
