Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments Hello Audible Rep or GR engineers,
Are there plans to have a way to import data from Audible.com accounts into GoodReads?

I would like to continue to write my reviews in audible, but I'm not going to spend the time to move them all into GR. At the very minimum importing the book lists in so I can click on the rating stars would be nice.

If I missed a note elsewhere on this feature my apologies.

Thanks.

Nikki | 75 comments I would love this function, also the ability to add books to my wish list from one to the other

Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments Does anyone know if there is a terms of service problem with this happening. Business politics?
I went ahead and just manually moved my listings over but I probably wont move my reviews over. Just don't have the time.

I see a nice need for a little app. I would write it if I had more time.

Hey Steven,

We do hope to become more integrated with Goodreads in the future, but at this time, we do not have an ETA on Audible reviews synching to Goodreads.

We will forward your suggestion to our team for consideration.

Thanks!

Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments Well, I am going to do a little work on interfacing and maybe my setup of a library for the GR API can be helpful.
Supposing I get a little time I am just doing a joy project for a CLI util. I need it for something else anyway. They can sub and watch.

You should talk with the Overdrive Console people. They have an integrated system with GR. It's not perfect (with titles and format) sometimes but it's very nice. When the story is done you can send your review to GR. Yes, it would be lovely if Audible did this also....how much better for the author with that much coverage.

Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments Thanks for the tip.
I'll hit them up if I can figure out who is working there. Maybe I can collaborate.

When I say it's not perfect I should be more specific for you. When the review is made and sent to GR, the book I've read sometimes get changed in the transfer, always the format for audiobooks is completely different....usually hardcover, sometimes paperback... but never has it said audiobook.

I really think the change occurs on the GR end because the book I'm reading has all the info attached to it. What makes it most frustrating is 98% of my reading is done with audiobooks so I have to seek and find constantly.

Possibly you could ask GR....they might know who to talk with though in all honesty I don't think Overdrive and Audible are on the best of terms because of the $$$ thing, so Overdrive might not be so forthcoming to help out Audible customers or site. Just saying......

It's always worth a try though and I thank you for looking into it as it would be very helpful to me also.

Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments I see. That is helpful. I've never used overdrive. I was digging into profiles on linkedin but I couldn't anyone but managers and officers. One guy had a git account in india so I assume that most of this is outsourced like most tech companies now days.

I'll keep digging. Working with tech guys is always easier than biz guys since we don't have the material pretenses. And I'm on the same page with you. I do almost all my book consumption through audio books and need a way to collaborate with my friends here.

Steve Scott (solvire) | 7 comments Negative.
And I haven't really done much on my tool. Been slammed with so many other projects.
