Name: Verton Wayne CorsonAge: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Verton has slick black hair and light blue eyes. His hair is very short and his lips, thin. He is built with a lanky and graceful body. Verton does not have one particular style of clothing, it's just anything he considers graceful. His skin is a light olive tone. His eyes are squinted.
Personality: Verton is very well composed on his outer shell, but inside, he is snickering at everybody. He keeps close watch on every going-in around him and is sure to analyze it deeply. He likes to "prank" others, but he doesn't like to do pranks that can cause damage, especially not permanent. When it comes to work or projects, he will often just try to procrastinate or find a girl to flirt with, of any species. He'll also sometimes flirt with guys, just as a tease, as Verton is straight. He is friendly on both inside and outside, but less so on the inside. It's mostly because of his sister leaving. He tries to be more friendly to people than he feels most of the time because he wants to get better at his social skills. He isn't very tolerant of people, though.
History: Verton grew up like any normal naiad boy. He swam around lots and tried pulling many down with him. The turning point in his life, was the loss of one of his own: his twin sister Diarma. They were very close, but for a reason he couldn't conceive, she left. Swam away one day he desperately needs her back, but has not been able to find her. He tricks and decieves others to show them an ounce of his pain. Not physically, but mentally. Verton slowly heals from this loss and the trauma it has caused him. He strives to be kinder, but sometimes he can't help a nasty prank.
But even with his struggles, Verton felt the need to make something more out of his life than what he had. So he started something he and his sister had been planning a while together. It took a lot out of him, to focus his attention on this task. It was slow and tedious and he often would procrastinate it in search of fun. He eventually finished it, though: a tower for him and his sister--when she she returned. A hideout it for the two of them. But the Celestial Institution took interest in his search for something more and determination in the task. They sent him a letter welcoming him to the institution, and Verton accepted.
Species: Naiad
Powers: Verton can manipulate the stages of water from liquid to gas but not reversed and speak with aquatic animals in the fish family.
Weaknesses: When exposed to great amounts of heat or if dehydrated, Verton has no control over the stages of water. When his lungs dry out, he cannot speak to or hear aquatic animals.
Likes: To flirt and prank. But he also likes quiet time sometimes. A moment to ponder about something more, or stare at the stars. Not to mention food. It's a glorious wonder to him.
Dislikes: Shrimp. He finds them very rude and annoying as they never answer his questions or speak to him at all. This is just because, despite what Verton thinks, shrimp are not a part of the fish family. And therefore, they cannot understand him and he, them.
Trivia: Verton is straight. He has one twin that is a female called Diarma and has no official pets, but does spend much of his time with a dolphin he calls Verton Jr.

I think he's not bad, but the personality needs some clarification-
What do you mean "when it comes to work, he will often just try to find a girl to flirt with"? And I think you mean to say that he is straight, instead of binary, which was probably why he only just flirts with guys as a tease (correct me if I'm wrong)? And what do you mean when you say that he is less friendly on the "inside", so to speak, is it because of his twin sister leaving?
For his history, could you please add a bit on how he managed to get the letter to the institution? And I think his likes needs to be more than just flirting :')

Mystic is just like her name, mysterious and a little cold. She is kind though and will do anything to help lost or afraid spirits. She is willing to make new friends yet she isn't overly enthusiastic. Mystic is calm and clear headed and seldom panics in dire situations. She hates bullying or any forms of cruelty that depicts cowardice.
History (5+ sentences):
She is born in an ancient family where they have the gift to see spirits. However, Mystic finds herself unable to do so since young and was disowned. As she ran through the forests, crying, she found a dark sword crackling with energy behind a tree. She picked it up and the power was absorbed into her body as she fainted. When she was awake, she found herself in the spiritual realm with thousands of frightened spirits begging her to guide them. As one with a kind heart, she helped them patiently until not one of them was left alone. This earned her the title as the Goddess of Spirit with the respect of the lost spirits.
Species: Goddess of Spirit
Powers (limited to two specific powers, and they cannot be over-powered): Can summon spirits from the spiritual realm, communicate with spirits
Weaknesses (view spoiler): Cannot be in overly bright lights for too long, cannot use her powers continuously because they will bring intense pain to her if they are overused.

so could you edit the part on her name? i think you added "aspiring" by accident ><
her personality are just words, synonyms of each other. but i need sentences, elaboration on how her personality came to be. some questions that might help you would be - why is she rude? when is she kind, loyal, compassionate? what is considered a good day? and i think you should also lessen the number of personalities, because you would have to elaborate for each one :/
next, her history has to link to how she got her powers as a siren. how does her twin having epileptic seizure link to that, and is that an important information to have? overall, the history needs to be elaborated too. why did she get disowned? did her twin get disowned as well? how has her history affected her as an individual? is she now more vulnerable? how does the history also shape her personality?
her powers need to have a specific intention; i.e when she sings, does she heal someone? does she use it for persuasion? what does she use it for?
for her dislikes, if she is really as calm, as nice and compassionate (as stated in her personality), why would she feel jealous of other people? she should instead be happy that they are together right ö even on her regular day, she is stubborn, arrogant and a bit rude, which does not indicate why she dislike them.
please do try and refer to above characters made by others / myself to have a greater understanding of making a detailed character >< sorry for picking on so many things, but i do hope you improve as a role player too!

In a way, could you kind of just add in a quick bit of how she got her letter to the institution? And, given that her power are pretty flipping cool, could you just add on when she would use it and why? Like, is she generally a violent person by nature, or does she only use it in self defence?
Also, another question for clarification would be: so basically her human form looks like her gorgon form, facial appearance wise, but has normal legs right?
