SOLVED. Science fiction short story collection, possibly British author, containing story "Survivor" about a failed space transport voyage. [s]

I read this about a year ago and lost it. There were several other stories I read, but unfortunately I only remember the specifics of the rather generically titled "Survivor" in which a woman travels with her husband to an extraterrestrial mining colony. The other passengers, workers and the ship's crew, judge the man negatively for bringing a woman with him on the ship and to the colony, thinking she will likely prove trouble or become a burden. Their judgement are put to the mark when the ship misses its mark and becomes lost in space. Around a year or so later, a passing ship recognizes the stranded vessel, and boards, expecting no survivors....

I believe there was an airplane on the cover of my edition. There was an introduction that mentioned post-war influence and 'the traditional English Short Story.'

This is Survival by John Wyndham - it's in his collection The Seeds of Time, which I think is what you read, since one of the other stories is about the mutated flowers that grow after a plane crash.

You wouldn't have - it's a tiny difference, but the title's Survival, not Survivor.
