I watched it a few days ago and really enjoyed it too! At times was scary, but mostly I found it intense. Sometimes I wanted to kill the kid though :P.
I suppose The Babadook can be classified as a haunted-house movie, but it’s more than that. It will rattle you and also give you something to think about as it moves toward its provocative and psychologically intelligent conclusion.
If you haven't seen the movie, please do so before reading anymore in this dicussion. With that said, what did you guys think about the ending?

Guess I missed this post about a group movie lol! Is it on Netflix by chance? I don't have cable so any on-demand type of thing is out for me. Thanks guys!
Aileen wrote "Yes, Netflix does have the movie. :)"Awesome! Thanks Aileen, just made my day! Also, being cable-less it's great to have something to watch today lol! :)
Do you think haunted house? I don't know how to classify it. I didn't expect that ending at all. It surprised me. I mean she 'tamed' the thing?! I really liked the concept of the book for kids and the rhyme thing.
It wasn't on ondemand on Dish or netflix streaming so I was out of luck :(.I watched a Hindi horror movie called Raaz 3 (should have probably watched 1 & 2 first, which I found on youtube).
I watched it a little while ago, but while it was definitely scary and one of the better horror movies that have come out recently, I found it a little predictable myself. About halfway in, I was pretty sure what the ending would be, and it turned out I was right. Then again, maybe I've just watched far too many horror movies and read too many novels. It's pretty difficult to rattle and/or surprise me these days.
I just watched the trailer for the film. It looks really well done. I am not sure if I will be able to watch it. I can read scary...but watching is something different. :) I might have to work on some nerve for this one.
I can't wait to watch that movie. I've heard so many good things about it. Just waiting for it to be on Netflix.
I just recorded Child's Play. I've never seen it but, from the reviews, I gather the first one in the Chucky series is worth seeing. I bet everyone else has already seen it but I thought I'd throw it out there as a suggestion.Or a foreign one. I've enjoyed the Bollywood horror movies I've seen and quite a few are available on youtube.

I really liked Child's Play. It was an original story, a bad guy's spirit goes into a doll....priceless.

I really liked it, also, as well as the whole franchise, except for Seed of Chucky. That was just terrible. Has anybody watched Curse of Chucky? I went into that thinking it was going to be stupid and I thought it was pretty good.

It sounds familiar. I believe I have seen it.

I purchased the Babadook book that the movie creators were making. I'll take a pic of it when I get it, it's suppose to arrive sometime around April
There is a movie called Puppetmaster that gave me serious nightmares. I find dolls and puppets to be particularly scary for some reason. Maybe because they are human like inanimate objects. I would sooner take on an army of zombies. I am looking forward to seeing Babadook.
I liked Mama. I think I gave it 4 stars, been awhile.
I liked Mama. It wasn't one of my favorites that I watch over and over but it was definitely worth watching!
It's funny but sometimes I will watch a horror movie and think it's just okay, but then I end up watching it every time it's on tv.

Yes, that's probably my favorite Halle Berry movie. I was hooked!

Hey guys! So just trying to catch up here...Is this a feed for the movie of the month? And the name of that movie is Babadook?? Or is that code for something? LOL! Thanks!
We were doing a movie otm and yes, this one is/was up and leave your review if you want. Anyone feel like suggesting another movie or taking a poll on another movie?

I've been checking upcoming movies to rent and there aren't any horror movies as of yet. I'm waiting for some to be available.

Has anyone seen "Jessabelle" yet? I've seen the trailer, it looks like it might be good, but I still haven't rented it yet.
