If you'd like a nice long blurb, there is one on the MPE. In short, Atlee Pine, stationed in the Grand Canyon area, is put on holidays to deal with her past, so returns to where she lived when her twin sister was kidnapped the same night she had her skull shattered and barely survived. Her assistant, Carol Blum, goes with her. While they begin the slow process of working on a cold case that is a tangled web, a dead body shows up, carefully staged with the mark of a new serial killer.

This is a murder mystery/thriller/suspense sort of novel that keeps you on your toes (that said, I did figure out a couple of things ahead of time, but what they are I won't say since they are spoilers).
