Hello, I would like to get permissions to edit my books. The books are already in the database, but I cannot edit them. Thanks!

As a Goodreads author, you already have permission to edit some of the details. If you let us know what needs editing we can help. I am combining some of the records.
Hi Emily. I'm trying to add books, and change some of the descriptions. For instance, I found that this book is in the system, but I can't edit it: 979-8614758172. How can I claim that book as mine, so I can include it in my books. Thanks so much. Ignacio
Also, when combining the books, please, can you put the English titles on top? Thanks
When I try to edit that book, this is the message I get: Your permissions will only allow the editing of the metadata

For everything else, you will need to use the author portal as C suggests.
For future reference, this folder is for adding new books. Next time use the book issues folder.

Please, I need help with these 2 children’s books. Both are already in Goodreads, but I can’t add them to my author list. I think is due to some name discrepancies.1- The Deer Who Launched a Viral Challenge and Ended Up Becoming a Rapper
(ISBN 9798614948429.) I see that my name is missing an accent in García (í)

(ISBN 9798614763923.) In this one I used my nickname (Nacho) instead of Ignacio.

Is Nacho on the covers of all the editions of that book? I have to put a separate author profile for it.Is Nacho on the covers of any of the other books?
Most of them has Nacho in the cover. But in Amazon I'm using Ignacio since is my legal name. Nacho is my nickname. Please, is there a way to keep everything as it is now in my profile? Or maybe I can ask Amazon to change to Nacho? Thanks
It actually doesn't have anything to do with Amazon. That's just the way your books imported here.If you don't have Ignacio on the covers you can just change your Goodreads name to Nacho Valle Garcia, or you can use something like "Ignacio Nacho Valle Garcia." Your books will still be on your profile regardless. I have not looked at each book cover.
So that is one option.
The other option is for us to make "Nacho Valle Garcia" the primary author on each book and make "Ignacio Valle Garcia" the secondary name.
If you want to change your name from Ignacio to Nacho on Goodreads, you have to contact Support:

To clarify: The books imported here using your Amazon name. I meant that whichever way it is on Amazon doesn't matter to us because we can change it.

If you want Support to change your name here, just contact them. Then Ignacio can be secondary. It's really up to you.

As Emily said, decide on what you would like your Goodreads Author name to be, contact Support and have them change your author profile to that. It is not something you or librarians can do, and there is no point in having to keep moving the books to and fro.
