Elena | 1 comments Hi everyone, nice to meet you! I'm following Kalyn's youtube channel for a month now and I saw the book-club. It's an excellent idea, congrats for the organization (to both of you). I'm from Romania (Eastern Europe) and I love reading. Reading is my escape and also it's a passion that I inherited from my mother.
I like to read detective novels, Nordic noir mysteries and thrillers, cozy mystery, middle grade, fantasy, young adult and short stories. I’m very excited to read Howl's Moving Castle!! From this author I've read only Charmed Life.
Have a great week!

People's recommendations here will encourage me to read more Middle Grade books. I am looking forward to this group :)

I write quirky lower middle grade novels that are set around the world. I love reading newer MG like The Tapper Twins and Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library and revisiting the beloved books of my childhood such as Mr. Popper's Penguins, Harry Potter, the American Girl series and The Phantom Tollbooth. My first MG novel will be published this fall. I live in Louisiana (USA) with my husband and toddler.

📗 The Girl Who Drank the Moon

📘 Sorcery of Thorns I’m currently reading and loving that world!
📙 I also started A Tale of Magic this weekend but already so intrigued and loving the story ☺️

Anna Larson (anna_rose20) | 2 comments Heyyy everyone!
My name is Anna, I'm 24 and work tech 👩🏼‍💻. Sadly didn't get into reading until college so I have so much time to make up for!
I literally just discovered booktube 🤦🏼‍♀️ during quarantine and I will never go back! I started and generally always lead to thrillers, so super happy to mix it up (I feel like they are all so predictable now!).
Feel free to reach out and stalk me Instagram @activate_anna!

Can't wait to read with all of you!

message 65: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Hello everyone! My name is Ashley and I've been working in libraries on and off for more than 10 years, in various capacities. I am currently planning on going back to school (hopefully next year) to do my MA. My husband keeps telling me I should be on booktube, but I have reasons I am not comfortable doing so. I get a great deal of enjoyment out of watching a few booktubers like Lexi though. :)

I don't really have a favourite genre; it's more about the feel of a book, so I tend to read a bit of everything. I do read a lot of non-fiction, though, and I do seem to gravitate towards books written by Latin American or Spanish authors (I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon and Anna-Marie McLemore, for example).

My favourite middle grade books include Harry Potter, Nevermoor, the Percy Jackson series, Howl's Moving Castle, and a Canadian book called Word Nerd, among others.

I look forward to reading with you all!

↣I'm from Kentucky.

Some of my favorite middle grade books are Greenglass House, Small Spaces, and Matilda. I have bought a bunch of middle grade books that I'm wanting to read soon and I'm hoping to discover so many more favorites through this lovely book club. J.S. Jones | 1 comments I know this isn't typical for this discussion, but kind of like your group and the members posts so figured who better to give advice and guidance for me for a kid's pic book. Also in time will be finishing a true book for y'all and this cool type group called "The Rookie Knight". but, first of first..

Hey, new one here, I'm a writer, screenwriter (ha, poor), reader, lover of books and creating. I made 2 picture books a while ago for my friends and family that had new kids during Christmas time cuz I couldn't figure out what to buy them. Ha!

They're fun rhyming books with facts about 1: Animals and 2: Vroom (this one about cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc)

Would love comments and critiques, don't worry have thick skin, and better from strangers then family and friends that just placate.

https://www.amazon.com/Fletch-Friday-...

And you don't have to buy them, can just read the look inside amazon does if need be.

Appreciate the time and help,

J.S. Jones aka Fletch Friday Dog
