For all Marvel fans out there, now we know the reason for Civil war

Some of the facts regarding Vajra:· The elder gods in the prologue is a reference to the cosmic entities of the Ctulhu mythos created by H.P. Lovecraft.
· On page 92, Ambar’s description of his experience with Soma and a machine saying the number 42 is a reference to the answer to ‘Life, Universe and Everything’ by the super computer ‘deep thought’ in Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy.
· Also on page 93, his description of someone asking him about 12 monkeys is a reference to the movie 12 monkeys in which the character of James cole played by Bruce Willis is sent all across time to investigate about a faction called 12 monkeys. One of the best time travel movies ever.
· Contrary to popular belief, the ending is not inspired by the Dark knight trilogy but from a Superman story widely considered as the best Superman story ever written: “All Star superman” by Grant Morrison.
· The entire Nitin Gupta’s Rorschach test scene is inspired by the Rorschach test of the actual Rorschach in Watchmen.
· The ageless gangster is an idea that is influenced by many characters from the aptly named ‘Immortal’ from the comic book Invincible to the elves in Lord of the rings but the major influence comes from the character of ‘Richard Alpert’ from T.V show LOST.
Fun fact: The character in LOST itself is named after a real Richard Alpert who transformed into Baba Ram Dass who was a big spiritual influence on Steve Jobs.
· The chapter ‘Déjà vu’ is set up to structurally mirror scenes from past and present.
· The character title Dyayus ex Machina is a play on ‘Deus Ex Machina’ a trope in storytelling which first originated in Greek plays in which suddenly in the end everything is set right and everyone is saved by God. Also Greek ‘Deus’ is a word that came from vedic Dyayus.
Fun Fact: Ending of Vajra is a literal Deus Ex Machina. Saved by a God.
· The look of Sleepers is influenced by Judge Dredd and RoboCop. Also another side fact. The look of RoboCop itself was inspired by Judge Dredd.
· The Chapter title ‘The Accident’ is a shout out to the LOST episode ‘The Incident’
· The chapter title ‘Old man walking’ is a play on ‘Dead man walking’
· The chapter title ‘The wild east’ is a play on ‘The wild west.
· The number 11 appears 11 times in the novel.
· Ambar means ‘sky’ in Hindi. His name is an indication of the fact that he is the vedic ‘Dyayus Pita’ the sky father.
· Sleepers were also influenced by the men from N.O.W.H.E.R.E in Doom Patrol written by Grant Morrison who speak in acronyms of N.O.W.H.E.R.E.
· Ghani is named after "Abdul Ghani" a gangster in the novel Shantaram by Gregory Roberts
My first novel Vajra is now available on Flipkart, Amazon, Infibeam and is already receiving rave reviews.
I tried to make it a genre bender. I would describe it as a sci-fi/fantasy/mystery/thriller surrounding the myth of VAJRA, the divine weapon of Hindu God Indra.
It's heavily character based and is majorly influenced from the works of Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, the tv show LOST, the themes of universal skepticism which Robert Anton Wilson fiercely stood by and themes of faith and synchronicity.
Also since I am an amateur artist, I designed the cover and did the interior art myself.
