He looked at Adria. "It won't last."
((Okay. I'll probably be on around noon))
Penny woke up from sleeping, relieved to see Ben looking like he was feeling better
Adria only looked slightly relived and was already trying to decide i they should move
“Good, you can walk, we need water and medicine” she said
Penny handed a desk leg to each of them. "This is the best weapons I could find."
"no problem," she says. "Should we move?
“Yes, before those meds wear off” she said picking up her bags again
"Okay," Penny clutches her desk leg in one hand and her bags in the other.
“you’d better not make me kiss you,” Adria said holding out her hand to him
He held her hand, but stayed emotionless
Penny rolls her eyes and takes the lead. "Where should we head?" she asks.
“Dunno, just stick to the hidden side” she said, squeezing Ben’s hand the slightest bit
"Okay....I bet that most of the places are already occupied....so...um...how about you take the lead?"
“Look, if you dont wake up, Ben, the tributes, or me, will kill you before that infection can, and we dont even know if that will kill you yet” Adria said
He looks at Adria, then Penny. "I'm already dead."
Adria shuddered, trying to keep herself together, “you keep quiet”
"I will. After I'm dead." Ben said, staring back at nothing
She sagged, her whole body looking older, “I’m not going to make it at all if you die, so suck it up”
Ben couldn't think straight, but he didn't know why
Adria shook her head and started to walk out
Ben just stood there, shaking slightly
She looked back, “what’s wrong now?” She asked
Why was he so hopeless? That wasn't who he was. Who was he? He looks at Adria, worry in his eyes
“Ben, wake up,” Adria said walking closer to him
Ben's breathing became faster. "I'm losing myself."
She sighed, and kissed him, wake up, please
He stepped back. He clearly wasn't thinking straight
Adria sighed and looked away, she bit the inside of her cheek, drawing blood
"I can only hurt you! Just GO!" He pleaded
“I cant leave you, I’d just get more hurt” she whispered, already breaking down again
He slumped down in a corner. "I'm losing myself." He said
“Well...” Adria leaned against a wall, “i guess i have nothing to lose, no I have you to lose....”
Ben looks at Adria. "I'm sorry."
“All i want is more time with you, and you need to give up” she said
He got up and walked toward her wearily
