Also reading Ready Player One! I think it will be a popular choice for this one. I'm reading it right now, and I'm loving it so far! The story is very entertaining.

Elizabeth (persephone17) I finished Ready Player One for this last night, and it was so. good. I really enjoyed the ending, and I kind of wish we got to see the characters 30 years after the book. All in all, a really great book about society, technology, and growing up, with some awesome characters and interesting pop culture tidbits. I also want to be Art3mis.

Fay Roberts I finished Ready Player One. It's completely absorbing. When ever I had to break off to do something else I found myself thinking about Wade and his world. I decided to use it for a book from the future though and am about I start Station Eleven for this category.

Jennifer Ready Player One is brilliant isn't it?!

I was talking about it all the time so my boyfriend read it. He loved it too and was talking to his non-reading friend about it. His friend really liked the idea of it so my bf spent a few weeks going round to his flat and reading it to him. His friend got most of the references and loved trying to work out where the keys were in between their reading sessions.

I think it's really a book that even people who don't read much can love! Especially for those who grew up in the 80s or on 80s pop culture. And I think the characters are really relatable to us geeky people, because they're just like us! ^_^

Jodez (jodez4) | 66 comments I picked The Book of Three to read, but I may change that and join you all with Ready Player One. We'll see how I'm feeling when I get around to reading it :)

message 15: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberinoface) I am going to change this to 5 Centimeters per Second [which i have finished]

Jennifer I cheated a bit on this one, as I'm way behind on the challenges. I just read Batman:Year One.Batman: Year One

I know a bit about Batman, although most of my dealing with him were through the 60's TV show (POW! BLAM! OOF!).

It was pretty good. I've never been a fan of comic book art style so that could have been better, but the story was good.
