Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments So will this be like the debut author one, where it counts read books on a certain shelf? Thanks for setting up the group, Caitlin!

If I can ever figure out how to set up a challenge, yes that's my aim. I think it might also be worth having a discussing for what we're choosing for out lists and other things?

Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments Definitely! Although I certainly don't have all 50 slots assigned yet, haha.

Stephanie (shynotebooks) | 73 comments just throwing this out there, i'm recording mine under "2015 reading challenge."

also it sucks that the pop sugar one is a pdf, i'll have to type all mine out on...excel? lol.

EDIT: changed my shelf to "popsugar 2015 challenge" - it was too close to the 2015 debut challenge shelf i already had haha

Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments Mine will be tagged "2015-ultimate-challenge."

Kelsey Witt Dillon (symphmetalnerd) | 13 comments Thanks for putting this together, Caitlin! I'm looking forward to finding new books to read. :)

My list will be "2015 Reading Challenge".

Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments I think Caitlin mentioned somewhere that one book could count for up to three items?

I was in HPB last night and there was an entire section called books for school (or something similar) Is it okay if I read one of those for my "book you were supposed to read in high school but didn't?" I really don't want to attempt Silas Marner again. There is a reason I read the cliff notes in high school. On that note, could I just read the cliff notes now and count that for the same category? :)

Hahaha, that might be a way to get around this one. You should discuss with Nicole. My options are The Grapes of Wrath and The Jungle so, I'm going with The Jungle.

Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments You have to actually read the book! But it doesn't have to be one you were personally assigned - picking off a "school books" or "summer reading" list should count. I think the spirit of the item is to get one of those books everyone's "supposed" to read.

Nicole (aggie44) | 79 comments If anyone else needs inspiration - peruse and pick one you haven't read! http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/47...

Athol-mary | 11 comments I agree with Nicole - just go with those books everyone was "supposed" to read. Thanks Caitlin for setting this up.

Another question: What about the category "books published this year?" It's only January 21st so this is kind-of limited right now. Can we include something that was published within the last year that was published in 2014? Or, if the paperback is published this year but the hardcover was last year. How strict are we on this?

message 14: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (shynotebooks) | 73 comments hmm are there any books you are looking forward to this year? that's how i'm knocking that one out, pretty easy :D

You have the whole year to complete the list so there's plenty of time to find a book for this one (I have a big list of books I'm looking forward to that are being published this year and would totally be willing to make recommendations if you need one.)

Yes. Please. :) I've got a pile of about a half dozen books to be read next to my bed right now anyway, so I'm not in a big hurry.
