Sarah Koehler | 50 comments I think I'll go with this.... Love the movies, but haven't read the books, and I hear they're great!

JackAttack Im joining you on this! This book has been on my TBR list the longest...good reason to read it and shorten up the list!

Sarah Koehler | 50 comments Cool! Glad to have some company, Jackie! Let me know what you think of it. I'm about 200 pages in and enjoying it so far.

I hit my 200 page mark today. Not quite sure what I think about it. I was immediately, pleasantly surprised by the depth of the writing. I guess I was expecting a quicker read (probably thinking adapted from the movie, not the other way around). The movie and the book have somewhat similar concepts/backstory, but so far I've found that the plot of the movie is considerably different from the book. Which I'm OK with! Bourne is B.A. and it's fun to read another adventure along the same lines of the first movie.

I did find myself stumbling through several parts of the beginning when a lot of foreign places/words were thrown out. I'm also really put off by this instant love thing going on with Marie and Jason. It's a wee bit odd.

Glad to be reading it, unless it improves I probably will not pursue the rest of the series.

JackAttack Finished last night. I'm sure others will enjoy it more than myself but I just couldn't get into this book. The dialogue was really stiff and LONG WINDED (so much talking! Not enough action!) and the book was obviously dated.

I think my ideas on who Jason Bourne is were set in stone prior to reading this book and I just had a very difficult time accepting anything else. Although the movie shares very little with the book - I can safely say I enjoy the movie way more.

And come on - the sappy "my darling" conversation and the "I love yous" after 8 days? Not what I was looking/hoping for in this!

Sarah Koehler | 50 comments I totally agree. Marie seems more like a victim of Stockholm Syndrome than a woman legitimately in love. The book has real ebb and flow for me. I'll really love it for a stint, and then shortly after, be bored stiff by tedious dialogue. And I cant get stupid Matt Damon out of my head as Jadon. I hate when movies ruin my potentially way-better imagination-created characters.
