Other series should not be numbering short story collections. If you see an example, please start a new thread to identify it, and it will be corrected.

from the Goodreads Librarians Manual:
Please place anthologies and omnibus volumes/collections, as well as any other special works (such as individual volumes republished in multiple parts), after all primary works, not mixed in with them.

If novellas or shorts are published individually and also included in anthologies and omnibuses, please list the individually published novellas with decimals in the series order. At the end of the series, list anthologies, and finally omnibus editions. Please see here for an example.

That refers to anthologies which collect/include one or more stories from the series. Hence the parallel to omnibuses. This is not quite the same scenario. However, unless all the stories take place in the same spot in the series chronology, it does seem like at the end is the best place for it anyway.

Joe | 3691 comments either railway detective short collection needs to be numbered or the collections in iron druid chronicles and dresdian files need to be not listed
