My blog is a combination of solid Bible teaching and short stories about my daily walk with Jesus. My recent teaching on the four gospels has gone viral with over 15,000 views. I was amazed to find that there is so much hunger for spiritual things.

If only there was more of a hunger, Jean.

The four Gospels are presenting Jesus Christ in four different ways: King, servant, son of man and son of God. They also give four different (although they all have some of the same details) accounts of His life here on earth. It's like reading four different newspaper reports of an incident.

It's always seemed sad to me to hear people say that the four Gospels are not necessary because it is repeating the same old thing over and over. They have not read the gospels, or were not paying attention. God's Word is the most interesting Book in the world, if you take time to actually pay attention to what you are reading.

It is by reading the four gospels that you really get to know Jesus. I often say the gospels are like the border of a jigsaw puzzle. You need the border to hold the puzzle together. And the four gospels hold together the wonderful picture of Jesus painted by God. If you know the gospels, you can answer these three questions without difficulty when you face a problem: What would Jesus do? What would Jesus say? How would Jesus react in this same situation? If you know the gospels, the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance an experience that Jesus had that will give you the answer. If you learn about Jesus from the gospels, you will be able to see Jesus throughout the Old Testament. The gospels need to be transferred from the pages of the Bible to the center of your heart. Blessings and thanks for your comments.Chapter 29 Revisited
