Maxkszie | 1 comments I read a fantasy book about 6-10 years ago in Dutch.

The book had a magic system where the type of magic the characters had was defined by an invisible aura those characters had, there was one girl with the ability to see these auras. Only a few characters in the world had these auras.

I remember there being atleast a grey, orange, blue and brown aura. The grey one cancelled out other magic.
At some point an aura was transferred from one charater to another at the cost of the life of the character who initially had the aura.

Ardee | 15 comments Perhaps The Alchemyst fits your description? The publication and the magical auras do fit, but I don't think it's a perfect match. Hopefully you can at least rule it out and this comment might bump your search for someone else to see who can help more! :)

Maxkszie, how old is the main character? Is this book for kids, teens or adults?
