Hi, due to some medical issues I don’t think I will be able to finish the two other books I had down for this part of the challenge and so have removed them from the spreadsheet. Hopefully a few days of rest will get be back for the next word x
No worries Lucy and feel better soon. We start a new word on Friday and I will have it up later this week.
Take care of yourself and get better soon Lala. And I don't think I'll be able to get the 1st BOM in this round, Sorry, so it'll be shifted to the next round.

Well I unexpectedly have the day off work due to losing internet during the tropical storm this morning (I can get on GR from my phone), thankfully my power stayed on.So I should be able to finish the anthology I've been working on plus another book or two depending on if it comes back up sometime today and I have to resume work. I somehow doubt it will be fixed that quickly though as Comcast is never quick to fix anything.
We are waiting for it to hit here in MA in the next few hours. I hope you get internet back soon or soon enough plus time to read.
Stay safe everyone!
The storms I think for the most part have blown through my area. Or at least for now. But there have been tornadoes, flooding, power lost, etc.

Finished House of ShadowsMy kind of book. Modern and historical timelines that come together in the end
April, I like that kind of books as well. I'll check that one out.
Sanah, I read The Bear and Nightingale a couple years ago and have been meaning to read the rest of the series.

Same!! I just finished rereading the second book because for some reason I didn't read the last one and then forgot everything. This time I will finish tho!
Ignore my earlier comment. I should not read this on my phone while out walking. I thought you meant in round 4 and two more words are opened as Judith noted in Round 5.
Foxy Grandma wrote: "Can we open 2 more words in Round 5? I have 2 C books I have been waiting to read."
Lexi has them opened now and I put reserved on their for the C's so no one grabs them before you get a chance to log your books.

Thank you ....now another question. How much of the book has to be set on a boat to be able to use that task?
Jhmingos I see you are planning to read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me in round 5. That's my favorite Zapata and I need to get to her companion book to this Hands Off (?) this is about Zack from Wall.
(note consider this a recommendation from a team member if you are looking for a task)

I normally don't pick up slow burn romances so I'm very excited to read this
Abir wrote: "I just finished my 3rd and last book for this round. Cap could you please update it in the SS."As far as I can tell, you still have the book marked as currently reading and does not have a read date. Can you please fix that?
Question, how do last names that include "Van" work for the spell it out? For example, I plan to read the below book by Kimberly Van Meter, but I'm unsure if it works for V or not?
Yes, you would use the V, not M for the last name. Karen (mod) goes with the rule of thumb of how you would alphabetize the book by author last name.
I also think of the alphabetical list of US presidents. Van Buren is towards the bottom, not top of the list.

Great, thanks. And that's a good way to think of it as I'm never sure what to do with those last names.
yeah, sorry about that. It was 2 in the morning, I was using the phone and I just wanted to mark it done for the challenge I forgot to do it.
Thank you, the app can be a pain at times and I didn't want to miss it as today is the last day for Round 4.
I'm not going to finish The Wicked Sister before the round ends, so I've moved it to Round 5. That leaves a T open to fill in the last complete word, which hopefully there's something that will fit there.
It looks like everyone is done with Round 4 except for one last book from Sixty (you still have almost 2 hours).
But wanted to check that no one else was planning to finish a book for Round 4, shout if you are. Don't want to miss any points.
Thank you! And this is our best round yet. We cracked in the 5K for one round. Go Team!! I'm sure Lexi will be in later with final round stats once the round is officially over :)

Finished my last one, Judith! I just updated it on the sheet. I also did the BOM discussion, I marked that on the sheet as well.

Awesome, just logged both the book and BOM points on the official team sheet.
I'm going to check us in for Round 4, no one finish a book for the next 90 minutes.

Great job everyone, we finished Round 4 and are still in 4th place out of 15 teams. However, we are closing in on the top places and we read the 2nd most of any team last week so great job. Six of you all read more pages than you have any week so far so I am very impressed. Last round, here we come...
Overall, we read 126 books (12 more than last week) and 4763 more pages . However, we are within 355 points of 3rd and 4th is less than 150 points behind us so the top five are even closer now (1st and 2nd are 30 points apart as a side note).
If anyone still wants to readDear Martin, it needs to be read by Aug 16.
The next two BOMs are Pachinko - Aug 2 and Spin the Dawn - Aug 16. For any BOM, i.e. Spin the Dawn, you can read it before the start date (Aug 16) and just answer the questions then, esp since it is 5 days before the end of the game.
That's great we've maintained our spot while also closing the points gap.I have requested off work the last week of this challenge, so if approved I'll be hopefully reading a ton that week. I don't have anything particular I need to do, but it's now August and I haven't used a single vacation day yet this year. I get five weeks worth of vacation that has to be used by the end of the year since we're a use it or lose it kind of place, so I really need to get a move on and start taking time off. And what better time than the last week of a reading challenge?

Her book Wait for It centers on Van's BFF. And her newest one is Hands Down is about Zack (haven't read it).
But after Wall, From Lukov with Love and Kulti are my next favorites of hers.
Her earlier books are good, but some definitely aren't as good as her later ones.

Thank you all so much. I really am, working from home today and back in normal tomorrow so last bit of reading today whilst being paid to do so ;)
Finished Sucker Punch and The Phantom TreeSucker Punch was an Anita Blake novel in the vein of her earlier work, Anita being a Preternatural expert and Marshal. I enjoyed it
The Phantom Tree is a time travel book between 1600s and today. Loved it! and will be reading more of her books!

I am glad to hear Sucker Punch has Anita back as a Marshal and Para expert rather than the ones that went a little too far off into the sexual/poly realm.
