1. Goodreads distinguishes between authors of the same name by adding spaces between the first name and last name.

2. The Rebecca Smith who is the author of this book has 4 spaces between first and last name: Rebecca^^^^Smith, where the ^ equals a space.

The spaces are important. Do not remove them, it will create cascading problems.

2. The book you linked to was imported from Amazon less than 2 hours ago. It is not the same book, just a newer edition.

3. Goodreads disambiguates authors of the same name by adding spaces before their last name. Your profile name is the "default" profile, with 1 space between your first and last name. So every book by authors with your name will automatically land on your profile.
**a. You can ask Goodreads support to change your profile to the non-default profile.
**b. If you change profiles, you will then have to ask in this group to have any new publications of yours to be moved to it.
**c. Either keeping what you have or changing it, you will have to ask for assistance. The Goodreads Librarians are a resource for you, and moving a work takes very little time. I just wanted you to know your options.

4. Goodreads support has a significant backlog of requests since the onset of COVID-19. They are answering requests. Please be patient. Duplicate requests do not increase your response time, and often confuse the issue.

You do not have an author account. I have moved your book to a blank profile which you can claim if you like.

Goodreads uses spaces in author names to differentiate between authors with the same name. You will be Emma^^^^Green where the ^ indicates a space. Don't remove the spaces! You will have the "four space profile."
