Brian (futurama1979) Not sure if everyone already is aware of this resource, but I believe a good chunk of the Target novelization library plus some of the short story collections and behind the scenes books are up for free on Archive.org! You've got to make an account with them, but then you can borrow the books and download them to read digitally.

A friend just let me know about it, and it's awesome to find the novelizations that are really expensive/out of print up there for free!

Matthew Kresal | 118 comments It's worth mentioning that, while they're on there, they are effectively bootleg copies of the books. Archive not watching copyrighted content being put on their site is why a number of publishers are now taking them to court.

Not condemning or condoning, but something to think about...

It's a fair bet the Internet Archive DID NOT receive permission to publish these books. The American Association of Publishers has filed suit against them for mass copyright infringements. The British organization Publishers Association is in agreement with the AAP.

By publishing these books without due compensation, permission, etc. IA pretty much cheated the authors out of income.

I will let the thread stand as is, but be aware of what is happening in the publishing world.
