I drew a slip from my TBR Jar yesterday, and I had to read a book that had won an award.

So I've chosen to read "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry" by Mildred D. Taylor, which has won a Newbery Medal.

Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.
