It's time for everyone to nominate a book for our July 2020 group read.

Continuing on with our different tasks each month:

For July's read we are looking for A book by an AUSSIE author
So, nominate a crime/mystery/thriller/suspense book to cover July's task :)

Don't forget - 1st in a series, if a series

This thread will be open until 10th June, then nominations will go to the vote.

Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!

I don't think this is a sequel to Salt Creek.

Yes it is girls, but it's not one of the group's genres I'm afraid :( It's contemporary :)

The shelves say "cultural/Africa" but I've read it and know it has mystery and suspense in it. Her debut and I loved it! So yes, I'll pass this one Carolyn :)

This is a relatively new release by Australian author James Keegan that I enjoyed very much. It's the first book in a series. It's a crime mystery/thriller set in Sydney and the outback.

Thanks Natalee, sounds interesting. I haven't heard of this author before and with him being Australian I'm keen to read him.

Craig Sisterson (kiwicraig) | 16 comments Some really great nominations already, including a few books I've read and rate really highly.

I nominate The Broken Shore by Peter Temple, the first Australian novel ever to win the CWA Gold Dagger from the British Crime Writers' Association.

Would love to start this series Kerri. Sadly we can’t get an ebook in North America. The only copy available is a paperback copy for $50 from amazon 🙀

You're kidding Anne!!!!! That's disgraceful! Have you tried Book Depository? It's very strange you can't get an ebook from Amazon? That's where I got mine from...

message 27: by Icewineanne (new)

Icewineanne | 158 comments Unfortunately no ebooks are available here. Perhaps it’s not licensed in N.A.? I also did check book depository, but this title is “currently unavailable”.
All i could do was to add my name to the notification list when they hopefully, get copies back in stock 😢

Oh wow that's no good. Does your library have ebook availability? And if they didn't have that one, could they get it in for you?
