For option 1, this is a little different - The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate is historical fiction, and the people on the cover have their backs turned. Does it matter that the people are in a little blurb advertising her as the author of Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate ?

Sorry, the cover is a picture, rather than an object on a plain background. Also, it's fiction so wouldn't work anyway.
