Mary This is an interesting book in that it covers a mystery, family dynamics, police procedural, and a fanatical environmentalist. The action takes place in the Southwest with various police agencies involved; a Park Ranger, the FBI,and local sheriff's. Not to mention an American Indian.

One can see how an obsession with a defective personality can become deadly.

This book is not, in my opinion, a serious read. It is an quick read covering several serious subjects, but is mostly entertaining.

James Paddock If the previous reviewer, Mary, had actually read this book she would have discovered that it did not take place in the Southwest. That is a major fact to get wrong, thus destroying her credibility. It is a quick read and is entertaining. What else is a novel supposed to be? Not entertaining?

Julie I'm with James-I read for pure entertainment & relaxation. I love anything C. J. Box writes!!
