Katrina Lybbert | 888 comments I just finished it! Wow. So many emotions. I was really touched by Chapter 23 and the discussion of the 3 women in the bible.

So glad I purchased all the books so I can continuing reading the story.

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments I just got notified that I got the third book from my library, so I'm excited to embark on that one to finish off the series.

There is a tremendous thread of Hope amongst the first two books though I would say, in terms of how these women faced some really, really tough times and how God redeems them and their circumstances. He takes Grace from a woman who is desperate enough to care for her 2 sisters to marry a man that she didn't love in order to provide for them and then almost does it again with Nigel. She loved her sisters and wanted to provide for them. even if it meant sacrificing her own happiness- sacrificial love- just like Andrea mentioned earlier about Hope protecting Mercy.
I haven't read the third book yet, so I'm so curious to read about how Mersy's experiences will influence her story.

You're in for another great one, Cheryl. I adored Mercy's story.

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Yes I just started it- looks like a great one too! So I’m sad to report that I don’t really have anything to share with the group about my visit to Walla Walla - our time frame was too limited and the visitor center with the info about the Whitman Massacre was not open so I have nothing to report! Sorry I was so excited. I do know that Walla Walla is applying for the next phase so maybe the visitor center / museum will be open and I can visit it a little later on.

Did anyone have a favorite part of the book from Treasured Grace that they wanted to share?

Aw, shucks! Cheryl, that is such a bummer, having been so excited for that part of your trip. Hopefully you can plan another trip once the museum is open. :)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Walla Walla county is farther along than we are over here on the West Side of the state so I was hoping it might be possible -oh well, another time.

My final thoughts:
This book was written in a way that tugged me in so much that I instantly wanted to read the next two books... and did so! This is something I've noticed about other Tracie Peterson books I've read.

The characters and their struggles, fears, and determination to overcome really resonated with me. It's that struggle to gain victory over obstacles in life that is so relatable to me every single time.

I'm so glad we read this book together! I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts and seeing the book through your eyes to enhance my own experience with the novel/series. Happy reading, friends!
