The 2005 movie was beautiful to watch for the scenery, and I enjoyed it here and there, but for me, it was no match to the 1995 which remain the standard (at least for me, lol).
In general, I do enjoy remakes as to setting and time, as in Bride and Prejudice, a very colorful musical which takes place in India.

I've seen the 1996 adaptation of Emma starring Gwenyth Paltrow (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116191/ ) twice, and really like it! It's basically quite faithful to the book, though there are certain differences of emphasis, etc. that I discuss briefly in my review of the latter, here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... .
