The edition I am looking for is illustrated with dogs, possibly dogs and cats. I read it probably sometime around 2008 and recently began to try to find it. But nothing on Amazon or other online sources.

I found this illustrated edition here, but it looks like Casey is a bear, not a dog: Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic, Sung in the Year 1888

There's also this edition that has a dog on the cover, but I'm not sure if dogs (and/or cats) make an appearance in the book itself: Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in the Year 1888
