Thanks Glenda. I will post the new thread tomorrow.

Thanks Patricia. Funny you mentioned THE RED COAT because I came across it today on my computer and read it again after I remembered what the story is about.

Patricia wrote: "My goodness, Terry! What an intriguing story. Stories must keep the reader engaged until the end which is not easy to do. Mission accomplished. This one and the Red Coat are memorable stories. Than..."

Todd, your poem embraced the (missing) moon from beginning to end, making it the subject of descriptive analysis. This is what writing is about, prose or verse, for the author to observe what’s different, majestic or salient and to run with his creative juices.

The votes are in folks. First I would like to say how happy I was to see a submission from Todd. We don't get many poem/prose and it was fun to read. Can't wait to see what he submits in July.

Now for the voting results:

First Place went to Lair, Lair by Rejoice with 11 points

Second Place went to Strangers in the Desert by Glenda with 9 points

Third Place went to Camping with my Austin and Oliver by Mirta 7 points

Todd's poem got 3 points

Todd Folstad | 98 comments All the stories were very interesting and different as each of us are. Thanks also for the comments on my poem - I find that working a piece like that helps me to find places to shave extra wordiness from my normal stories - you have to place a maxim on the words you choose for poetry as each has to carry more weight. Maybe some month, we'll have a poetry month. Just a thought!
