This book was about a man who lived in a house (possibly a farm) his wife had died years ago and he was contacted by aliens so they would make his house like a portal, so the aliens could travel to earth and their planet through it(he accepts), and while the man was in the house he wouldn't age, because time was suspended inside (so he would only age when he went outside) and he describes a bunch of aliens he meets. I read it around the year 2010, but I'm sure the book is older than that.
