When we first meet Eve in 1947, she's very different from the Eve we meet in 1915. It's hard to reconcile the two until the story really gets underway. At what point do you start to recognize 1947-Eve emerging from 1915-Eve?

I think the event her personality turns on is her belief that she betrayed Lili. Her self-blame is paralyzing—especially when she can’t redeem it in the prison.

On the other end, her recovery begins when she realizes she wasn’t responsible.

[Lyn]

Yes, I think it was when she arrived in, where I can’t remember, after Lili was arrested. By any means necessary she wanted to get back to France in order to continue the work. And although she cared about Cameron, she did what she could to get him “out of the way.” She had a single focus.

[Elizabeth]

I think I started to see the "old" Eve as the journey to find Rene continued, especially when they made the decision to go to that final city. It came through even more as she found Rene and took those steps.
