To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes each of these a series?

so I posted them separately."
Yes, that is understood. But it does not answer my question.

No, the author calling a group of books a series is not enough to make them one on Goodreads.
Again, to be a series on Goodreads, books must have characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc.

That may be so, but it is not clear from any of the ones I looked at. If you can go back and edit each post with more details of what makes them a series, we would have more to go on. For example: if I were trying to explain why the Pern books by Anne McCaffrey are a series, I might say, "Each of the books has characters that appear in some of the other books and they all take place on the world of Pern, where people ride telepathic dragons."
