Don't tell me Lez.....i enjoys me ignorance! ;-)

The number 14 is the flavour of the moment, as we stick with that number of songs for KB's songlist playoff. Therefore, we remain with the 4 vote system for another week.

Thought of the day: Shall i put down a wager on Mr D Cummings being given the heaveho before this month is out? Hmmm?!
Enjoy the choons & I'll see ya on Sunday, when i'll have turned another year older...ooh crumba! I would celebrate it with a meal out somewhere nice with the family..but all the eateries are shut presently. Oh well..here's to the next one, then! :)

Remind me how many Labour MPs have broken the lockdown, and how many of those currently sit in the shadow cabinet (having been appointed to it after said breach). Let Mr Starmer sack that person, and temporarily remove the whip from all of them before pompously pronouncing on 'morality and integrity'.
Why is that that when Professor Ferguson had to resign for what happened with his visits from his married lover during the lockdown, Owen Jones protested that it was a 'distraction from more important issues', and yet when another man does what he feels best for his 4 year old son if he and his wife should fall seriously ill with the virus it's an outrage. Contrary to the disgusting lies put out by the BBC, there are provisions for 'exceptional circumstances' within the lockdown rules, which are available to all, not just a chosen few. On 24th March, Dr Jenny Harries, one of the government's scientific advisors, stated during the daily briefing that young children count as vulnerable individuals if their parents fear being unable to care for them. That was broadcast on BBC1, but somehow the corporation appears to have forgotten it, or more likely ignored the truth in its sanctimonious huffing and puffing. It is hardly Dominic Cummings's fault if the MSM continually harp on one aspect of the lockdown whilst concealing the important exceptional circumstances aspects from the public.
Emily Maitlis repeated the lie that Cummings had broken the lockdown rules on Newsnight. She should be ashamed of herself and apologise or be fired. But why should you expect truth on a programme where the editorial content is down to a man previously a Guardian columnist and Labour Party activist? What price evenhandedness? The BBC news department spits in the face of OFCOM regulations and its own Charter. If there is justice the license fee will be cancelled and the BBC can sink or swim. Let's see how many of the public will choose to put their hands in their own pocket to pay for the BBC, rather than having money filched from them whether they watch any of the output or not.
The reality in this situation is that it has far less to do with what Cummings did or didn't do at the end of March and early April, and far more to do with what he and Boris Johnson did between 2016 and January of this year. There are some who will never forgive those two for Brexit, and go to any lengths to unseat them. Having failed to screw Cummings over with their failed court case against him, and failed dismally in the election, this is the new front.

He drove for five hours while he and his wife were sick and their child wasn't. He claimed he had no access to child care where he lived, but a local voluntary organisation said they were available. Either he didn't look hard enough or he knew about them, but didn't think them worthy. He broke the rules again.

Rightyho then..who got the cream this week?
Topping the bill in 1st place is 'The Width of a Circle' by David Bowie, with 17 points. The gold top thus goes to Gordon. Congrats to that man!
2nd place with the Silver top 'Know Your Product' by The Saints - with 13 points, goes to KJS,
And finally the Red top goes to yours truely for 'Credit In The Straight World' by Young Marble Giants, which scored 12 points.
Congrats to all us three. A low scoring round for most, but not a bad mix of songs there.
Theme 262 - Wildcard Round 10
Theme 263 - My Corona: Any song or artist with a title/name that reflects the Coronavirus pandemic in some way (I've got an absolute belter lined up!).- Fishy Jim
Theme 264 - Feel Good - Any song that is upbeat and likely to make the listener have their spirits raised. - TheFoe

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Theme 266 - Freak Out! Uncut magazine's list of 101 "weirdest albums of all time". There's at least one single A-side on the list (step forward 'Scratch'). The reasons for weirdness aren't always evident from the titles alone (although the exceptions should be obvious), and there's one which you'll never find on discogs; the Merzbow at #100 is actually a written-off Mercedes previously the property of his dutch label boss, with a copy of Merzbow's album "Noisembryo" hardwired into the ignition, so it plays when the car is turned on. He tried auctioning this unique item and got zero bids! - Tim https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/thread...
Theme 267 - Great instrumental breaks (must be within a "song") - SussexWelsh
Theme 268 - Let's Stick Together; any song with a word which references a method of sticking one thing to another (join/t, glue, mortar, tie/d, bond, weld, etc ad infinitum) - Brass Neck
Theme 269 - "In The Mood For A Moog" - Songs featuring the Moog synth - theDuke
Theme 270 - "The Happy Organ" - Tracks featuring an organ, the keyboard instrument, of any type. - KJS
Theme 271 - "It's Raining Cats & Dogs" - song titles containing the word(s) cat(s) or dog(s) (or both): state your allegiance if you wish ;-) - Helen

Hello again one and all.
It's another one of those popular 'lists' themes, this week..as we look at this late king of the grunge scene, Kurt Cobain's favourite albums:
'Kurt Cobain's "Top 50" - pick a track from one of Kurt Cobain's (supposedly) favourite albums'
link: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/JoeyX/...
By all means have a good look through it, and let's see what you all favour from it. Noms & links as per usual, thank you.
