THE LIGHTNING THIEF: WEEK 1: Chapters 1-6

I've already read the book and can recollect many things that happened, but what are you guys' thoughts of the first quarter?

Never read this before! Just got the new box set back in October so I am prepared! But I watched the movie last night so now I really want to watch it! Probably going to read the first 6 chapters late tonight or tomorrow

I read this book years ago but I never continued. So I am very excited that we will be reading this series this year! Since I still remember what happened in the first book I plan to join back in once we start the second book!

Read through chapter 6. OBSESSED! Can it be next weekend so I can read more????? I don't want to go to school!!!

I still remember reading this in 2009 & thinking it was the best thing ever! I'm not planning on re-reading the series, but can't wait to follow all of the discussions throughout the year:)

OMG This had me cracking up to pieces! I cannot believe how funny this is. I'm really enjoying this -- reminds me of the movie, but the book is so much funnier. Grover and Chorin (Mr. Brunner) are my favs besides Percy so far :)
